FA Cup 3rd Round: United to travel to Arsenal, City and others get easy draws

FA Cup 3rd round: Arsenal vs. Man United headline January clashes with City, Liverpool & Chelsea facing lower-league sides. Full fixtures announced.

Ruben Amorim is more involved with Arsenal than the Wednesday league match at the Emirates, as the 3rd round of the FA Cup in January will see Manchester United visit the Emirates.

Record holders Arsenal, with fourteen FA Cup trophies in their cabinet, will host the Red Devils—the second most successful club in the competition's history—in what would be their second clash against each other in just a little over a month.

Manchester City will finally have a match at the Etihad against fourth-tier side Salford, while Premier League leaders Liverpool will host Accrington Stanley and Chelsea will host another League 2 team, Morecambe.

There’s only one other all-Premier League clash in the third round of the FA Cup, and it’s the visit of Julien Lopetegui’s West Ham United to Aston Villa; both sides would hope to dust their current league form to start the year on a high with a fourth round ticket.

It’s an easy draw for Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham as they travel to play non-League side Tamworth; the only other non-League side remaining in the tournament is Dagenham and Redbridge, who will face League 2 side Millwall.

Fourth-placed Brighton and Hove Albion will travel to Championship side Norwich City, while Championship log leaders Sheffield United will host Cardiff City. The first weekend of the new year will host all fixtures.
