Genoa hires Vieira to replace Gilardino.

After a run of poor results that has left them in 17th position on the Serie A log, Italian side Genoa has fired coach Alberto Gilardino and lined up former Arsenal star Patrick Vieira as his replacement.

Bentancur cops a seven-match ban.

The FA's decision to impose a seven-match ban on Uruguayan midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur for his racial slur towards teammate Heung Min Son earlier in the new season explains the current situation at Tottenham.

Bentancur made a racially offensive statement when he implied that everyone in South Korea looks alike. The Europa League will allow Bentancur to play, but he won't make his domestic debut until Christmas Day.
