Christian Eriksen collapsed again on the pitch in a friendly against Finland on Sunday. Despite doctors' confirmation that the Dane is stable, should he be playing professional football again? (Photo credit: Sky Sports)

Welcome to the Monday column, where we dissect news from the football world. From the buzzing transfer window to the upcoming FIFA World Cup and club elections, here are a few headlines from across the globe.

Is Christian Eriksen testing fate?

After his 2021 collapse in a European competition game, Christian Eriksen returned to football about a year later and signed for Brentford before having a decent career with Manchester United. The Dane collapsed again on Sunday in a friendly against Finland.

While news from doctors confirms the former Spurs and Inter Milan playmaker is conscious after walking off the pitch by himself, you can't help but wonder if he's testing fate. If he ever returns to the pitch again, it should be termed as suicide, and everyone around him must be charged with attempted murder.

Florentino Perez wins again

It's probably the worst-kept secret at Real Madrid as everyone expected Florentino Perez to floor Enrique Riquelme in the presidency election. Nothing different happened.

Perez returns for another tenure, and he's already talking about mega signings and another era of Real Madrid dominance. The Spanish entrepreneur has spearheaded major accomplishments for Real Madrid, and we're expecting the monster bid he mentioned on Tuesday.

Aziz Yildirim wins Fenerbahce elections

Incumbent president, Aziz Yildirim, has been re-elected as the president of Fenerbahce, beating rival Hakan Safi, who had promised fans new arrivals.

Safi promised to sign Mason Greenwood, Luis Suarez, Merih Demiral, and Hakan Çalhanoglu. All of these plans will now be put on hold as he lost the election. Will Yildim go for any of Safi's targets as Fenerbahce hopes to wrestle the title off Galatasaray?

Inter confirms interest in Curtis Jones

The mass exodus from Liverpool may continue with Italian champions Inter Milan courting English midfielder Curtis Jones.

Jones can play many positions, including right back, and with Denzel Dumfries off to Real Madrid, there might be good reasons for Inter Milan to seal a deal for Jones. Liverpool is willing to listen to offers for the player; this should happen quickly.

Olise not for sale - Bayern chief

Bayern president Hainer: “If Florentino Pérez wants to send us a bid for Olise - which has not happened so far - he can SAVE HIMSELF THE TROUBLE”.

“Michael Olise is a player of FC Bayern with a long-term contract. We are NOT a selling club”, told BILD. (Culled from Fabrizio Romano)
