Arsenal's Edu leaves the club to join the Marinakis Group.

Arsenal’s sporting director Edu Gaspar has resigned from his role at the club, a club statement reveals on Monday. Edu joined the club in 2019 as a technical director and received a promotion to the position of sporting director in 2022.

Edu worked well with Mikel Arteta to restore some pride at Arsenal, overseeing top signings like Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice as the Gunners competed for the title two seasons in a row. Rumor has it that Edu will be joining the Marinakis Group, which owns Olympiacos, Nottingham Forest, and Rio Ave.

Football needs to stop—Ancelotti

Carlo Ancelotti has criticized football authorities for continuing play despite the horrific incident in Valencia that resulted in the death of over 500 people. This comes ahead of a crucial Champions League match against AC Milan.

Ancelotti declined speaking further about the “special game” against AC Milan, as he doesn’t feel the game should go ahead, but he’s hopeful that his team will shake off the shock and put in a great performance to win the game for those who are mourning in Spain.

Mo Salah’s cryptic message sparks tension at Anfield

After curling in a trademark win on Saturday against Brighton, Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah posted a tweet that left many pondering his future.

“Whatever happens, I will always remember how special it is to score at Anfield." - Mohammed Salah. With the club yet to offer or agree a new deal with the Egyptian, could he be passing a message of departure to the supporters?

Amorim will provide United fans with a memorable match against City.

Manchester United’s new manager Ruben Amorim will take on Manchester City in Portugal in their latest UEFA Champions League group game on Tuesday.

Sporting Lisbon sits on top of the Portuguese league and looks good to advance automatically in the continental championship, but they must negotiate with the Premier League champions at home to keep the fire burning. Will Amorim show glimpses of what United fans hope he’d bring to them?

Chelsea sweat over Palmer’s injury scare

Chelsea has revealed that Cole Palmer will undergo a detailed scan on Tuesday to ascertain the extent of the injury he sustained in the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

Manchester United’s Lisandro Martinez caught Palmer in the knee late on in the game with VAR scrutinising the tackle but stuck to the on-field decision of a yellow. Chelsea would hope their talisman isn’t significantly injured with a game against Arsenal coming up at the weekend.
