The Paris Olympics are well and truly underway, with athletes jostling for medals in various sports. We look away from the hunt for medals and focus on the buzzing transfer market, where teams are also fighting for players ahead of the new season.

Chido Obi joins Manchester United from Arsenal's academy.

2007-born talent Chido Martin Obi has left the Arsenal academy and will sign for Manchester United permanently, citing a clearer path to the first team as one of his reasons.

The talented striker scored freely in the Arsenal academy, showing signs of huge potential but rejecting a scholarship contract from Arsenal, with many news outlets reporting he will earn double the money he was offered by Arsenal and German sides.

Pep Guardiola asks Ederson and Alvarez to make up their minds.

Ederson and Julian Alvarez, the Manchester City duo, were recently in the news for transfer reasons, with both asking to leave for another opportunity.

While both have clarified that they're committed to the Manchester City project, Pep Guardiola has asked them to make a decision on time so the club can bring in replacements on time. In the coming days, expect some interesting updates from the Etihad.

Ismaila Sarr has signed for Crystal Palace.

After losing Michael Olise to Bayern Munich earlier in the summer, Crystal Palace has completed the signing of Senegalese international Ismaila Sarr.

After a successful medical, the former Watford winger joins Olympique Marseille permanently; if his time at Watford is any indication, Palace fans should be excited as he is a dynamic forward who can surprise.

Brighton’s Pascal Gross joins Borussia Dortmund.

Brighton and Hove Albion have said goodbye to their versatile playmaker Pascal Gross after the German returned home, signing permanently for Borussia Dortmund for a fee believed to be around €7 million, including add-ons.

Gross enjoyed a successful season under the departed Roberto Di Zerbi last season, contributing goals and assists, including having to fill in at left-back in games. He has now joined the Champions League finalists, along with Yann Couto.

PSG is about to announce Joao Neves' signing.

After several meetings and hours of negotiations, PSG seems to have found an agreement with Benfica for their Portuguese midfielder, Joao Neves.

The talented midfielder excelled in Portugal’s midfield at the 2024 Euro championship, but his release clause in excess of €120 million put suitors off. PSG has thrown in Renato Sanchez, and this means €70 million should seal the deal. This should be finished by this weekend.
