Manchester United is nowhere near the top four spots; the duo of Aston Villa and Tottenham have that advantage. The FA Cup represents the last chance of silverware for the Red Devils, and they cannot afford to bottle this against Coventry City.

Manchester United qualified for the semifinals after a gritty win over Liverpool at Old Trafford. 

The 4-3 win epitomizes the madness of this Manchester United side; it shows how they can be intelligent and mediocre in split seconds.

Coventry City are the giant killers of this season’s FA Cup. 

The Championship side maneuvered their quarterfinal affair against the Wolves in fine fashion, coming back from a swift setback to beat the Wolves 3-2 in added time.

The FA Cup doesn’t respect form or pedigree; it has no respect for names, and no one is going to underrate Coventry City when they file out at Wembley against the Red Devils on Sunday. United must prepare for it like they mean the trophy.

On current form, both sides are struggling and could use some good news from the FA Cup. 

Coventry has lost three of their last five games, a situation that has left them nine odd points off the playoff places, albeit with two games in mind.

The trio of Mason Mount, Casemiro, and Sofyan Amrabat have joined the never-ending injury list, but the Red Devils have enough to prosecute the FA Cup encounter against Coventry City. Expect some direct line-up from Erik Ten Hag.

Former Everton striker Ellis Simms will be the man to watch. His brace against the Wolves helped the Sky Blues past Gary O’Neil’s side. 

Haji Wright is talking tough ahead of the game; United must be wary of his trickery and pace.

Manchester City beat Chelsea on Saturday to book a spot in the final of the FA Cup at Wembley next month. 

It’s down to the duo of Manchester United and Coventry City to fight for the right to stop the reigning champions from retaining their title.

For Erik Ten Hag, the FA Cup represents his last straw; he is not going to finish in Champions League places.
