As we dive deep into the transfer window, we look at some top deals, brewing rumors, and potential transfers from all around the world of football.

Ansu Fati joins Brighton on loan.

Barcelona’s attacking talent, the supposed heir to the Lionel Messi throne, Ansu Fati, has agreed to join Brighton on loan until the end of the season. The arrangement is a dry loan with no option to buy, and Brighton will cover most of his salary. A medical has been booked for Thursday; did you see that coming?

Manchester United reignites the Amrabat conversation.

Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat could still end up at Manchester United after the Red Devils verbally agreed with Fiorentina on Wednesday. The Europa League finalists have been waiting on Manchester United since June, and a bid is now believed to be imminent, with United keen to add Amrabat to their weak midfield.

Aston Villa loans Lenglet from Barcelona.

With Tyron Mings out for a long period and Aston Villa set to begin their Europa League journey, Unai Emery has returned to Spain to poach another defender after Pau Torres joined from Villareal. Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet has joined Villa on loan till the end of the season, with no option to buy, subject to his medical, which will take place on Thursday.

Benjamin Pavard joins Inter Milan.

Bayern Munich right-back Benjamin Pavard has joined Simeone Inzaghi’s Inter Milan for a reported fee of €30 million with add-ons of up to €2 million. Inter had to wait for their man, with Bayern targeting Trevor Chalobah from Chelsea. The World Cup winner is expected to put in shifts at center-back after the Champions League finalists parted ways with Milan Skriniar in the summer.

Gini Wijnaldum to Saudi Arabia?

Remember the flying Dutchman in Liverpool’s midfield for Jurgen Klopp’s successful side a few years ago? Gini Wijnaldum has fallen out of favor at PSG and is now set to join the Saudi Arabian contingent. Al Ettifaq has reached an agreement with Wijnaldum and is now waiting for a green light from the French champions. The Dutchman spent last season on loan at Roma, but the Italian side won’t make it permanent.
