The weekend highlight is expected to rise from this game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium when Manchester United visit North London.

The Red Devils didn’t live up to expectations last Monday, but they did beat Wolves by an odd goal by Rafael Varana.

They got the help of the referee later on after Andre Onana clearly clattered into Pedro Neto, and a penalty should have been awarded.

Ange Postecoglou’s reign at Tottenham Hotspur got off to a frenetic start after Brentford took the game to Spurs at the Community Stadium last weekend.

The game ended 2-2, but it was one that could have gone either way, but the stalemate was about the best result.

Manchester United still can’t call on their new top striker yet, with Rasmus Hojlund carrying a calf problem, but the biggest miss in this fixture has to be the man who now plies his trade at Bayern Munich, England striker Harry Kane.

Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes didn’t have a great day against Wolves on Monday, but both players would be key to the activities at the Tottenham Stadium for the visitors.

This is the game you should be winning if you want to be a title contender.

Tottenham played a different brand of football against the Bees, and fans are already excited; they witnessed dodgy football under Jose Mourinho and later Antonio Conte.

It’s a joy for them to see good football from their players once again.

Heung Min Son is the main man now alongside Richarlison after Kane departed the club.

It’s a great opportunity for both players to claim the main character title, and indeed, it is up for grabs with Son now the club captain.

United and Spurs need results here, and a draw won’t cut it for any of them.

Despite winning their opening game at home to Wolves, United didn’t impress fans and needed to get going while Tottenham played great football but shared points.

They needed to climb the table and be where they wanted to be.

Verdict: Both teams score
