Superstar striker Cristiano Ronaldo has dismissed a potential return to the European League or ever considering a switch to the MLS, as he feels the latter is inferior to the Saudi Pro League.

Granting his usual sensational interview on Monday, the former Manchester United star man said the Saudi League is superior to the MLS.

And he takes pride in the fact that he opened up the league for top stars to come in.

"The Saudi League is better than MLS," the Portugal star revealed when asked about making a move to the USA like his former rival in Spain and global star Lionel Messi, who was unveiled at David Beckham’s Inter Miami on Sunday.

"I opened the way to the Saudi League, and now all the players are coming here." Ronaldo continued in his post-match interview after Al Nasser lost 5-0 to Celta Vigo in a club friendly, although the Portuguese was substituted at halftime with the scores level.

"In one year, more and more top players will come to Saudi Arabia." In a year, the Saudi League will overtake the Turkish League and Dutch League," Ronaldo added. Players like Karim Benzema, N’golo Kante, Marcelo Brozovic, Ruben Neves, and Roberto Firmino have joined the league.

"I'm 100 percent sure I won't return to any European club," Ronaldo said. "I'm 38 years old. And European football has lost a lot of quality. The only valid one that is still doing well is the Premier League. They're way ahead of all the other leagues."

"The plan was for me to play 45 minutes today," Ronaldo said about his early withdrawal. "Against Benfica, I might play 60 or 70 minutes. It is better to fine-tune the machine little by little to reach the best form."
