Meanwhile, Arsenal are expected to make a third bid for Rice after their previous offer was also rejected.

Declan Rice's contract with West Ham is set to expire in 2024, with an option for a one-year extension until 2025.

Despite West Ham chairman David Sullivan's recent statement that he is "99%" sure Rice will leave this summer, the club remains determined to hold out for their asking price.

Manchester City's interest in Declan Rice stems from the departure of Ilkay Gundogan to Barcelona, with manager Pep Guardiola eager to strengthen his midfield options.
