It’s that time of the season when we nurse palpitations for incomings and outgoings from clubs, and today we look at some hot and sizzling transfer news across the top five leagues ahead of the official opening of the transfer window.

5. PSG beats Chelsea to Ugarte

The Stamford Bridge landlords thought they had sealed a deal for Sporting Lisbon defensive midfielder Manuel Ugarte.

But news broke out on Sunday night that PSG had swooped in with more money.

And ultimately, with Champions League football, after all, there’s a consequence to everything, including league finishes... Sorry, Chelsea.

4. Arsenal to bid for Rice after Conference League final

Every ear that cares to listen must have heard about Arsenal’s interest in West Ham’s Declan Rice, but the Gunners will not turn the player’s head until after the all-important Europa League final against Fiorentina.

Word on the street is that Bayern Munich wants the highly-rated midfielder, but is Arsenal prepared for a bidding war?

3. Harry Kane off to Real Madrid

We reported Karim Benzema’s exit from Real Madrid yesterday, and we can confirm that the Frenchman is considering a big-money move to Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.

But where does that leave Real Madrid in the grand scheme of things?

The reigning Champions League champions are looking at Harry Kane, but is the Spurs man willing to give up his all-time record goal-scorer hope?

2. Naggelsman to PSG

Christophe Galtier is certainly not going to return as PSG manager next season, and the club is already looking at possible replacements.

Julian Nagglesman is the man on everyone’s lips, and he would be a great addition to the Parisiens, having turned down Spurs. Interesting times ahead.

1. Mac Allister to join Liverpool

Brighton and Hove Albion are braced for a summer of outgoings, with Arsenal circling Moises Caicedo and Liverpool ringing Argentine World Cup winner Alexis MacAllister.

With Henderson running out of legs and James Milner having said goodbye to the Kops, is Liverpool going to get their man?
