When Erling Haaland was introduced to the fans of English football at the Community Shield, many doubted what was to come as Uruguayan Darwin Nunez grabbed the headlines as he took on the Norwegian Viking.

It didn't take Erling Haaland long to change the narrative; after scoring twice against West Ham on his debut, he went on to score 35 goals in 31 games and four league hattricks.

Haaland has broken records that were thought to be invincible; is there anything stopping him now?

Andy Cole and Allan Shearer scored 34 goals in a 42-game season, but Haaland has gone an inch better, netting one more than the standing record in eleven games fewer.

Erling Haaland has at least eight games to go this season: five in the league, two in the Champions League against Real Madrid, and the FA Cup final.

From the first, from the spot at the London Stadium, to the latest, a sensational chip off a well-timed Jack Grealish pass, Erling Haaland has proven his supporters right.

He has converted every single critic; everyone now worships in his temple, singing "All hail the king of goals."

The Premier League has witnessed top-class strikers, from one of the most celebrated and hall of fame inductees, Thierry Henry and Alan Shearer, to Sergio Aguero and his exploits with Manchester City, but none has the record that this young lad currently has.

Your first season in a new league, one as difficult as the English Premier League, can be excused if you need time to hit the ground running.

Erling Haaland doesn’t know any of that; he has defied the odds, and you must wonder what's to come as he’s only 21.

Luis Suarez mesmerised with Liverpool; Ruud Van Nistelrooy was huge at United, as was Didier Drogba for Chelsea.

Robin Van Persie hit back-to-back golden boots with Arsenal and United, and there were Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke before him... This is the era of Haaland.

Fifty goals is not beyond Erling Haaland this season; what do you expect next season when he has better chemistry with his City teammates?

The robot is here, programmed to score, and no one can stop him. All hail Erling Haaland.
