Frank Lampard has led Chelsea out four times since joining the Blues in the interim until the end of the season after the sacking of Graham Potter, and the Chelsea legend has lost each time. Will he finally earn his point(s)?

It’s no news that Chelsea is only playing for pride after crashing out of Europe last week to Real Madrid.

The Blues were supposed to play Manchester United at the weekend, but the Red Devils were busy with FA Cup duties.

Brentford is one of the teams that are punching above their weight this season.

They are tenth and five clear of Chelsea, which sits in eleventh.

The Bees remain in contention for European places and can achieve them with consistent results in the run-in.

Thomas Frank is in a good place with Brentford.

He has guided the squad to safety, and now they’re considering a top-half finish and even continental qualification.

The cohesion in the squad is enviable, and the game against Chelsea is another to look forward to.

How did Chelsea get so bad that a game against Brentford can’t be seen as an easy one?

Managerial instability and poor form continue to haunt the Blues, but class is said to be a permanent fixture at any top club; why is this different with Chelsea?

How will both sides line up?

Chelsea under Lampard is unpredictable, but word on the street is that Reece James could be out for the rest of the season.

Mason Mount is also out injured, but the defensive shape could be different yet again following Khalidou Koulibaly’s injury.

Brentford always remains the same as long as players are fit.

Ivan Tony is primed to score again as long as you let him.

Brentford’s away form isn’t the best in the league, but Chelsea’s situation has made it increasingly unlikely to predict a home win.

Verdict: Both teams to score
