Crystal Palace is in no man’s land, and when you’re desperately looking for a win, seeing the champions on the fixture list as your next opponent is the last thing to be happy about, but in this game, it is what it is.

Palace hasn’t tasted a win in a very long time.

And their unfortunate own goal that saw them drop all three points at Villa Park means they are now being drawn into the relegation dogfight.

The earlier they start picking up points, the better for them.

Manchester City has a midweek match at home against an unpredictable RB Leipzig team, and you wonder where their head is at the moment.

Champions League is obviously the priority for Pep Guardiola, and he would sacrifice anything to land it.

The league is slipping away gradually; one of his students is threatening to take the league crown from him, and he won’t release it easily.

He must win here to heap pressure on Arsenal ahead of the Gunners’ away game on Sunday.

City is five points behind Arsenal, which isn't too much of a gap if you look at how strong the City team is, but that's not to say anything bad about the Gunners.

But with the champions failing to string wins together this season, will they catch the North Londoners?

On paper, there’s no chance for the Eagles despite playing at home, but the Cityzens have proven to lose their heads when it matters this season.

Crystal Palace earned a draw against Manchester United with a late freekick earlier in the year; can they draw inspiration from there?

Phil Foden’s top form is masking Kevin De Bruyne’s weak form without anyone noticing.
