Resilient Brentford earn deserved draw against Arsenal

Brentford showed their resilience and attacking threat to earn a well-deserved point against Premier League leaders Arsenal.

Leandro Trossard scored his first goal for the Gunners, but Ivan Toney's equaliser ensured the visitors took a point.

Arsenal had plenty of possession but found it challenging to break down Brentford's excellent defence.

Toney's goal was his 15th of the season, highlighting his attacking threat.

Arsenal had been unbeaten at home this season, winning eight and drawing one of their nine games at the Emirates before Brentford's visit.

But the Gunners' hopes of winning the league have been dented by two straight losses in the league and FA Cup.

Trossard's addition to the team has been excellent, and he has looked sharp since joining from Brighton & Hove Albion for £27 million last month.

Brentford is having another fine campaign and is pushing for a European place after finishing 13th in their first Premier League season last term.

Even though Arsenal had most of the ball, the visitors kept their shape, and they were rewarded with a well-earned point.

Toney's attacking threat, combined with Brentford's excellent defense, makes them a challenging side to break down.

Arsenal had a one-goal lead, but it rarely looked like it would be enough against a sharp Brentford side that had won four of their previous five league games.

The Gunners raised their tempo in the closing stages, including seven minutes of added time, but Brentford held firm for a point.

The draw follows successive defeats in the league and FA Cup for Everton and Manchester City, respectively.

Arsenal faces Manchester City in a top-of-the-table clash on February 15, and how they respond to their recent setbacks will be key to their title aspirations.

Brentford, on the other hand, is only five points behind fifth place and has a great chance of making it to Europe next season.

Brentford's resilience and attacking threat earned them a well-deserved point against Arsenal.

The Gunners' title hopes have been dented, and they need to respond quickly in their upcoming matches to keep their chances alive.

Brentford is pushing for a European place and has a good chance of securing one next season with their excellent defence allied to Toney's threat.
