Lautaro Martinez Leads Inter Milan to Win in San Siro Derby

Inter Milan secures crucial win over AC Milan in San Siro derby with Lautaro Martinez's goal. Martinez continues to shine as Inter chase Serie A glory

In a hotly contested city derby, Inter Milan emerged victorious over AC Milan at the San Siro stadium. 

The match was decided by a solitary goal from none other than Inter's star striker, Lautaro Martinez.

Martinez, who captained the team, headed in the only goal of the game from a corner kick taken by former Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.

Despite Inter having two goals disallowed in the late stages of the game, Martinez's strike proved to be the difference in the match.

Although AC Milan put up a valiant effort, they were unable to find the back of the net. 

Stefano Pioli's side only managed their first shot on target in the 75th minute, which was brilliantly saved by Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana. 

The Rossoneri have now lost five of their last six games in all competitions, and have dropped to sixth in the Serie A table.

On the other hand, Inter's victory keeps them within striking distance of leaders Napoli, who won 3-0 against Spezia earlier in the day. 

The title race remains firmly in Napoli's hands.

With Georgia winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia converting a penalty and Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen scoring twice.

Lautaro Martinez's goal proved to be the difference in the Inter Milan vs AC Milan derby. 

Martinez's excellent form continues to be a key factor in Inter's success.

The team will be looking to build on this victory as they aim to close the gap on Serie A leaders Napoli.
