The winter transfer window is in full swing and slams shut in five days, we look at some brewing stories, concluded deals, and some ice-cold moves.

Tottenham hijacks Danjuma deal

Everton lost manager Frank Lampard after the loss to Westham and has now lost another prospect, Arnaut Danjuma after the Villareal winger turned back on a deal to head to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Nigerian-born Dutch winger has now agreed to terms with Antonio Conte’s Spurs on loan till the end of the season without an option to buy. Chelsea’s successful hijack of Mykhailo Mudryk set the tone for this window and the Spurs have now followed the same path… Sorry, Toffees!

Is Kane to sign a new Tottenham deal?

Tottenham seems to be winning on and off the pitch right about now; Conte’s men beat Fulham on Monday through a record-equaling strike from Harry Kane, Spurs hijacked a deal for Danjuma the next day and now, it’s all but confirmed that star striker, Kane is about to commit to Spurs on a long term.

How strange! It is what it is! Kane seems to have thrown out the trophy dreams at the altar of goal-scoring records; if all goes well, Kane will extend with Spurs and that will keep him completely out of reach for Manchester United and Bayern Munich.

Elneny’s injury changes things at Arsenal

Mohammed Elneny has been confirmed to be out of the season with an injury, this leaves Mikel Arteta’s side thin in the middle, and could be forced to make important bids for players in that regard.

There are few options on the plate for the Gunners; Everton’s new boy Amadou Onana has been fingered as a potential signing as well as Moses Caicedo that has also attracted interest from Chelsea. Youri Tielemans is also an option with Arsenal believed to be interested in the Belgian.

Is Cancelo on his way out of the Etihad?

If you’re a premier league fantasy manager, you must have been frustrated too many times this season due to how sparingly Pep Guardiola has used Joao Cancelo but word on the street is that the Spanish manager is willing to let the Portuguese go.

Guardiola wants Portugal’s AC Milan winger Rafael Leao and doesn’t mind using his national team compatriot as the bait in the deal; Leao is everyone’s darling at the moment and AC Milan desperately hopes he signs a new deal.
