Remember Bobby Madley? The premier league referee that was fired four years ago after mocking a physically challenged person in a video will return to officiate a premier league game this weekend.

The Professional Games Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) relieved Bobby Madley of all refereeing duties in 2018 but he returned to the lower leagues in 2020 and has officiated ten games in the championship this season.

Bobby Madley will be in charge of the premier league game between Brentford and Wolves at the Brentford Community Stadium on Saturday. The 37-year-old referee was highly rated back then as a referee but he fell from grace following the insensitive video.

Andy Madley, Bobby’s elder brother who is also a premier league referee will officiate Graham Potter’s return to the Amex as Chelsea visit Brighton. All eyes will be on Bobby who returns to premier league duties after four years out.
