Certain things are bound to happen whether we see them coming or not; this isn’t a prediction or some Nostradamus II attempt, but a possibility of Lionel Messi returning to Barcelona next season is more of an inevitability.

Let’s have a conversation, shall we? Messi’s first wish would never be to leave Barcelona in the first place; word on the street is that the Argentine playmaker did all he could to stay but the rot created by Josep Bartomew and his ill-assembled board stood in the way.

Messi struggled in his first season under fellow Argentine Mauricio Pochettino but has since returned to form and he’s leading the rampaging PSG side to a flawless league campaign so far; the champions league is the ultimate goal, if he lands it for the capital club, a return to Barcelona is more than possible.

There are reported cracks in the PSG ranks; Kyllian Mbappe has been in the news for mixed reasons and should Messi’s clout overshadow his, there might be concerns and headaches for the manager. Neymar is another of the superstars that need management, everything points to a divorce with Messi soon.
