Leicester shortlist trio to replace Schmeichel

Leicester City already agreed terms and accepted fate with respect to goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel who is on his way to French side OGC Nice after eleven years at the King Power Stadium and have now shortlisted three options to replace the 35 – year – old Dane.

Napoli’s Alex Meret, Brentford’s David Raya and Newcastle’s Martin Dubravka are all on the shortlist of the Foxes and would be happy to land any of them but will they be willing to join Leicester’s sinking ship?

Ndombele told to leave Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has asked Tanguy Ndombele to seek other options ahead of the new season with Olympic Marseille, Lyon and Galatasaray all interested in the Frenchman and a deal must happen before transfer deadline day.

Tottenham already added a few names and will have to allow some first team players leave to keep a healthy book and the trio of Sergio Reguilon, Giovani Lo Celso and Harry Winks could join Ndombele on the transfer list.

Arsenal is a team to take seriously in the new season after a summer of intentional dealings but one thing that is also key to their success in the coming days will be the outgoings and if you care about summer bargains, Emirates is where to be.

The likes of Ainsley Maintland-Niles, Lucas Torreira, Hector Bellerin, Pablo Mari, Bernd Leno and  Nicolas Pepe could be on the move in the coming days and that list could also include Reis Nelson as Arsenal continue to push for a winger and Youri Tielemans.

Jota extends at Liverpool to Klopp’s delight

Liverpool’s Portuguese forward Diogo Jota has renewed his contract with the Anfield side and Jurgen Klopp can’t keep calm.

 

“What Diogo has brought to this team and this club since he arrived is there for all to see, so it is really good news that he has signed a new contract,” Klopp said. “Brilliant, brilliant news, I would say.

 

“His qualities are obvious. He scores goals – not a bad quality – he works unbelievably hard for the team, his pressing and counter-pressing are on an unbelievable level, he can play in all of our attacking roles and he has an incredible attitude. Not a bad package. Not bad at all.

 

Westham wants Burnley’s Cornet

Everton were the first to enquire about the Ivorian but Westham are now leading the race to land Burnley winger Maxwell Cornet who has a £17.5m release clause.

The premier league kicks off on Friday the 5th of August and the Hammers are trying to be in a good place to compete; Cornet will be happy to join and continue his premier league story after Burnley’s relegation last season.
