Barcelona have talked up opportunities with fifth lever but it has been revealed that the potential sales of Frenkie de Jong and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is where their hopes lie.
The Catalan giants have placed some of their players on the transfer list after they couldn’t register many of their new signings and fresh renewals.
With Chelsea needing reinforcements as well, the Blues are about to bail Barcelona out.
For a fee of £70m, Chelsea could land the Frenkie de Jong and that wouldn’t be the end of the dealings between the two with former Arsenal striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang seeking to reunite with Thomas Tuchel who he previously worked with at Borussia Dortmund.
Aubameyang is surplus to requirements following the arrival of Robert Lewandowski.
But the Gabonese could yet stay if Memphis Depay gets a move away to Juventus with conversations currently going on between the player’s entourage and the Italian side.
Chelsea already prepared for the exit of Marcos Alonso with the big money arrival of Marc Cucurella.
But Barcelona must free up wage bill according to La Liga laws before they can sanction new incomings.
The next two days will be crucial to both clubs.
