It’s crazy how Manchester City continue to get stretched in games this season with the win over Bournemouth the only easy game they have played so far.
The champions fought back to earn a point against Newcastle in
game week two and then rallied from two down over the weekend to beat Crystal
Palace 4-2 with Erling Braut Haaland netting his first hattrick in the premier
Nottingham Forest stood to be counted against Tottenham over the
weekend with Dean Henderson diving right to deny Harry Kane from the spot, but
he couldn’t stop the England striker from scoring a brace that condemned the
new boys to a defeat.
Forest have brought in eighteen players this season and are
rumored to be about to land the nineteenth, it’s left to be seen how they bed
in the entire lot into the fold but manager Steve Cooper will be the one to
nurse the headache.
City will be the clear favorite here but as they have witnessed so
far this season, no team is a pushover anymore and they will not underrate the
new boys. The champions will decide who joins Haaland in the front three
between high flying Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden with Riyad Mahrez primed for
Forest will defend their way to anything they want in this game;
Cooper likes to be expressive through his wingbacks – Neco Williams and Harry
Tofolo but he can’t be too careful. City will take no prisoners on Wednesday
City currently sit second on the log behind Arsenal, they’re not
afraid to chase and they also understand the Liverpool are wide awake after a
resounding win against Bournemouth. It’s a game the champions should win.
