It’s that time of the season where everyone monitors breaking news and player movements, we bring to you the peak of the bunch as team try to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

The Ronaldo saga continues

Cristiano Ronaldo was at Carrington yesterday with his super-agent Jorge Mendes to discuss Ronaldo’s move away from Old Trafford as the super star doesn’t want to play Europa League football in the new season with Manchester United.

Sources reveal that Mendes wants a one-year loan deal to a champions league team while Ronaldo can extend his contract at Old Trafford for another year to compensate Manchester United. We’ll see how this pans out.

Leicester set to hijack Leno deal after Schmeichel departure

After eleven years at the King Power Stadium, Kasper Schmeichel is set to leave Leicester City and reports suggest the Dane has agreed terms with OGC Nice for a deal as his Foxes contract only has one year left on it.

Arsenal’s Bernd Leno wants out and already agreed terms with Leicester City but the German could favor a move to Leicester considering potentials and the deal could also help Arsenal to get long-term target Youri Tielemans.

Scamacca joins Westham

Westham have announced the signing of Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca in a deal worth 36m that could rise to €40m if certain clauses are met.

The Italian striker will wear jersey number 7 which was vacated by Ukrainian winger Andriy Yarmolenko. The Hammers won the race for Scamacca after PSG pulled out of the deal to sign Hugo Ekitike. Westham are also looking at signing other targets ahead of league resumption.

Manor Solomon joins Fulham

Following FIFA rule that allows Ukraine-based players to suspend their contract in the Portuguese league due to the unrests caused by the Russian invasion, Shakter Donetsk winger Manor Solomon has leveraged the opportunity and signed with Fulham on a one-year deal.

Solomon was linked to a number of top sides in the past and could have joined Liverpool as well but the deal fell through. Fulham continue to build a side they expect to challenge the drop and Solomon will contribute his quota to that fight.

Nottingham Forest wants Carvalho

Portuguese midfield enforcer William Carvalho is on the radar of premiership new boys Nottingham Forest and could join this summer following positive talks.

Aaron Ramsey is also linked to the club after seeing his contract terminated by Juventus. The former Arsenal man didn’t have a great career in Italy and his loan to Rangers didn’t end on a good note. Nottingham Forest will sign the Welshman on a free transfer in the coming days.
