Chelsea announce Sterling, set to sign Khoulibaly
Chelsea’s summer has come to life after the announcement of Raheem Sterling from Manchester City for a fee of £50m and the 3Lions forward can’t wait to get started.
The Blues have also agreed fees with Napoli for 31-year-old Senegalese defender Khalidou Khoulibaly and will certainly land him before the end of the weekend. Juventus and Bayern Munich tried for the veteran defender but Chelsea won the race with mouth-watering wage offer.
United get green light for Lisandro
Manchester United will sign Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez for a fee of £46m and the club can focus on other in-comings according to sources close to the Old Trafford club.
United are believed to be interested in Youri Tielemans and few other names across Europe in the midfield department. The win over Liverpool may have papered lots of cracks but Erik Ten Hag is not deceived, he knows where to reinforce.
Josh King joins Fernabahce
Former Manchester United academy lad Josh King has joined Turkish side Fernabahce on a two year deal from Watford following the relegation of the English side to the championship at the end of last season.
Josh King made huge mark as a striker for Bournemouth but left the Cherries after they were relegated as well; his loan move to Everton failed woefully before moving to Watford but he has now joined the Turkish league as he hopes to spring back to reckoning from there.
Dembele signs Barca extension
After long speculations around the future of French winger Ousmane Dembele, the former Borrusia Dortmund man has finally signed a two-year extension at Barcelona and the deal is expected to be announced today.
Chelsea and Juventus were interested in the injury-prone winger but couldn’t reach an agreement with the Spanish side despite agreeing terms with the player. The imminent arrival of Raphinha doesn’t hurt his place and all parties can move on to other targets now.
Unnamed Saudi club wants Ronaldo
In a sensational development, Cristiano Ronaldo is wanted by an unnamed club in the Middle East and it doesn’t look like a deal that will happen considering the ambitions of the Portuguese super star.
