It’s that time of the season where everyone monitors breaking news and player movements, we bring to you the peak of the bunch as team try to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.
Barcelona to hijack the Raphinha deal?
It’s a crazy season, we’re all aware and many teams will feel hard-done by as stronger teams will hijack their deals as we saw in the case of Manchester United and Olympic Lyon for Feyernoord left back Malacia but as Chelsea hijacked the Raphinha deal from Arsenal, is Barcelona about to maintain same energy?
The Blues already agreed terms and fees with Leeds United for the Brazilian winger but stories on Wednesday revealed that Deco, the agent of the player has opened talks with Barcelona again to facilitate his move to the Camp Nou… Crazy times ahead.
Lille hire Paulo Fonseca
Former French Ligue 1 champions Lille OSCE has announced the signing of former AS Roma coach Paulo Fonseca on a two-year deal after an underwhelming season last time out.
The managerial merry-go-round continues in the Ligue 1 with OGC Nice hiring Lucien Favre to replace the PSG bound Christophe Galtier and we expect more shake ups as the new season begins in about five weeks from now.
Haller to Dortmund almost done
After a rampaging season at Ajax, Sebastien Haller is on the verge of returning to the German Bundesliga where he first made his name with a move to Borussia Dortmund.
The Ivorien didn’t cut it at Westham and was quickly shipped to the Eredivisie where he scored a ship load of goals, helping Eric Ten Hag to land the title before the latter’s move to Old Trafford. Erling Haaland’s shoes might be too big but Karim Adeyemi and Haller will surely try.
Chelsea switch to Koulibaly
Raphinha is still in the works for the Blues, pending what Deco does with Barcelona but Thomas Tuchel is eyeing a move for Napoli defender Khalidou Koulibaly following a spate of slow moves around Joules Kounde and Nathan Ake.
Chelsea already lost Ceaser Azpilicueta, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen. The Blues are in the champions league and will compete on all four fronts, they need a deep squad to compete and at least three defenders must walk in through the door.
Richarlison set for Spurs medical today
Tottenham are preparing for life in Europe with the addition of Richarlison to their forward line as the Brazilian is set to undergo medical today ahead of a €70m move to Tottenham Hotspur.
The depth in Spurs’ forward line is about to be enviable with Harry Kane, Heung Min Son, Dejan Kulusevski, Ivan Perisic and Lucas Moura being joined by Richarlison. Everton will now look to raid Chelsea for Connor Gallagher and Hudson Odoi.
