Tottenham Hotspur did themselves a world of good with the 3-0 success over Arsenal on Thursday, thereby closing the gap between them and their fiercest rivals to one point in the race for the top four.

Burnley can win this game, against all odds and almost make certain their survival in the premier league, the Clarets understand what the game means but how much of it is in their hands? Their situation is better than that of the Spurs because Antonio Conte’s side needs to win both games and also hope Arsenal doesn’t.

Burnley might be fine with just a win or even escape relegation without picking a single point if Leeds United lose their remaining two games but they don't want to risk anything, they'd rather do their own business and ignore side stories.

Mike Jackson and the rest of the makeshift management team have done very well, no one would be surprised to see him get the job permanently especially if the Clarets escape relegation but the club knows better than to focus on the battle at hand and revisit managerial appointments later.

Tottenham must win to be sure of ending the game round above their only rivals in this context, but they also need Arsenal to drop points away at Newcastle to complete the job, should Spurs drop points to Burnley, they would need more than luck to make the champions league next season.

Harry Kane came alive against Arsenal as always and so did Heung Min Son, both would be needed to keep Burnley where they want them and heap all the pressure on Arsenal who doesn't play until Monday night. Spurs will move into the top four with a point against Burnley but they know that will almost end their hopes especially if the Gunners win at St. James's Park.

Burnley has reasons to take this one by the jugular, it has happened before and who says it can’t happen again? Tottenham lost to Burnley straight after beating Manchester City in February, who says lightning can’t strike on the same spot twice?

Burnley will rely on long balls in behind and set pieces while Tottenham will have to find other ways to handle things against a low block, trust the visitors to play for a point, it is down to Tottenham to send them back to Turf Moor empty-handed.

Verdict: Tottenham to win
