This is arguably the game of the weekend, a game of huge significance for two related, yet unrelated reasons and you don’t want to blink. Antonio Conte knows what is at stake and so does Jurgen Klopp, where will this swing?

Liverpool are in the Champions League final for the third time in four years, the hurts of 2018 evolved into joy the following season and now they can take their pound of flesh from Real Madrid, the team that brought them tears in 2018.

Tottenham wants to return to champions league football and they will only be able to achieve this if they beat Arsenal to it. They currently sit two points behind the Gunners, they can usurp Mikel Arteta’s side with a win here, how easy will that be?

Quadruple is still a dream for Liverpool, they can win everything there is to win and a win over Tottenham will be a bold step in that direction. Manchester City only have one trophy to fight for this season, and that is the premier league title, will Liverpool beat them to it?

Everyone at Arsenal would be rooting for Liverpool, everyone at both ends of Manchester will be rooting for Tottenham as they don’t want Liverpool to equal their league title hauls, it would be fun to see this one at Anfield.

Liverpool can’t afford to rest players yet, there is a title to win so expect Klopp to throw in his full strength, he also has a game in midweek so he might rotate upfront but expect Mohammed Salah to start this one, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota could too but Firminho is out.

Spurs have everyone available except Sergio Reguilon, they can throw everything at this game and earn something that will propel them to success in the North London Derby against Arsenal on Wednesday, it’s a bumper week.

Liverpool have won four of the last five in the league against Tottenham but the last fixture at the Tottenham Stadium ended in a 2-2 draw, a game that underlined Antonio Conte’s importance and style of play. This would be fun to watch.

Verdict: Liverpool to win
