Football super agent, Mino Raiola has passed away at the age of 54, a statement from the Italian’s family reads on Saturday.
The official statement from his family continues: "In infinite sorrow we share the passing of the most caring and amazing football agent that ever was.
"Mino fought until the end with the same strength he put on negotiation tables to defend our players. As usual, Mino made us proud and never realized it.
"Mino touched so many lives through his work and wrote a new chapter in the history of modern football. His presence will forever be missed. "Mino's mission of making football a better place for players will continue with the same passion.
"We thank everybody for the huge amount of support received during these difficult times and ask for respect to the privacy of family and friends in this moment of grief."
Raiola represented top football stars like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Erling Braut Haaland, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Mario Balotelli. His first major transfer as an agent was that of Pavel Nedved from Sparta Prague to Lazio in 1996.
News had broken out on Thursday of his death which he responded to angrily, but the curtain has now been dropped on what will continue to be a massive career in the world of football and the hole he has left will play a major part in the coming transfer windows.
