The Premier League is no doubt the best league in the world and the testament to that isn’t only coming from fans but also from ex-players with Didier Drogba leading the conversation after he was named in the latest Premier League Hall of Fame list.
The former Chelsea player was inducted in the class of 2022 alongside Paul Scholes, Vincent Kompany, Sergio Aguero, Ian Wright and the two previous Hall of Famers, Arsenal’s Patrick Vieira, Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard and Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney.
The new six players on the list joined former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry and the league’s all time top goal scorer Alan Shearer who were both inducted as the inaugural premier league Hall of Famers, a prestigious achievement for players that have ruled the league in their own unique ways.
The voting system was opened for fans to vote for their favorite players, considering their impacts on their respective clubs as well as their individual honors. The next batch will be open for voting at the end of the year toward another selection for next year set.
Players like Roy keane, Robin Van Persie, Tony Adams, John Terry and Ian Rush will be clear favorites for the next batch with some outside chance for former Chelsea star and current Everton boss Frank Lampard as well as Tottenham’s Ledley King.
