The January transfer window closes on the 31st of January, clubs are trying to tidy up late moves and we report the peak of the bunch as they happen.
Lampard to get Everton job?
Vitor Perreira was believed to have shook hands over the vacant Everton job but the latest is that Chelsea legend Frank Lampard is about to be announced as the new boss at Goodison Park after impressing at the latest interview.
Lampard lost his job at Chelsea a year ago and has since been out of management, he was almost going to get the Norwich job but turned it down at the last minute, if hired, he will become the sixth Everton manager in five years.
Juventus and Barcelona want Aubameyang
Juventus already announced the signing of the Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic and are still very much interested in out of favor Arsenal striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
The Gunners are open to the sale of the Gabonese after he fell out with the manager and key figures at the club but with no replacement in sight and Aubameyang being mooted to have played his last game for the club, it’s rather complicated at the Emirates but Barcelona are waiting in the wings as well.
Tottenham’s Lo Celso interests Lyon, Villareal
With Bruno Guimaraes off to Newcastle in a deal said to be around £40m including add ons, Olympic Lyon are almost certain that they will land Giovanni Lo Celso from Tottenham on loan to fill the gap left by the Brazilian.
Lo Celso has found playing time hard to come by under Antonio Conte and would prefer a move away but nothing is agreed yet. Villareal have also signified interest in the Argentine, they will pounce once Lyon doesn’t tie things up soon.
Kulusevski to Spurs?
Tottenham have had a torrid time in the January transfer window after seeing three of their targets head elsewhere right before their eyes but Juventus winger Dejan Kulusevski is on his way to the club.
Spurs had hoped on tidying up deals for Luis Diaz who is now Liverpool bound and Adama Traore who had his Barcelona medical already, Antonio Conte has been left frustrated at the lack of actions in the window but the Swede is on his way and he can smile a bit now.
Westham want Leeds United’s Raphinha
Mercurial Brazilian Raphinha of Leeds United is wanted by Westham United after efforts to reunite with Jesse Lingard stalled.
A number of clubs want Raphinha with the Brazilian’s Leeds contract running till 2024, extension talks with the club is going on fine but the Hammers are hoping a big bid would lure the sensational winger to the London Stadium from Elland Road
