The game of huge significance for both sides, Leicester proving their Shield Cup success over Manchester City wasn’t a fluke and the Cityzens proving they’re not a spent force by coming out strongly in this one.

Leicester City have to also prepare for Europe in midweek but this comes first, in fact the margins between success and failure for them this season will depend largely on their priorities, fresh from the international break, the Foxes can hurt their guests.

Manchester City destroyed Arsenal on their way to the international break, they have lost once already and with this season proving to be harder than ever, they can’t afford to chase for too long, and a win here will be the only desire.

In Leicester’s win over the champions at the Shield game, they soaked up pressure, defended deep and made sure they didn’t make much mistakes, they will have to bring same energy to the table when the champions come to town.

Man City will rely on Ferran Torres and Gabriel Jesus upfront, Jack Grealish will most likely start but there should be a place on the bench at least for Kevin De Bruyne who is recovering from an ankle problem he picked at the Euros.

Leicester will hope Jannik Vestergaard is fit to play, Wesley Fofana is a long term absentee and Johnny Evans’ fitness is also in doubt, Jamie Vardy will certainly return upfront and his hatrick against City last season will be very fresh in lots of memories.

The visitors will be happy to have goalkeeper Ederson back after FIFA ban scare, latest news confirm the ban has been lifted after some players weren’t released by their clubs and the Brazil FA triggered a clause that ensures a five day ban from club duties.

Leicester enjoyed interesting wins over the champions in recent games but a win here will mean more than anything else as it will send the Foxes to the top of the table pending other results.

Verdict: Manchester City to win.
