Kosmos Holding, a company belonging to Barcelona’s long serving defender Gerard Pique has bought rights to French Ligue 1 games after Lionel Messi joined Paris Saint-Germain.
Messi's expected debut will be shown free-to-air on the streaming service Twitch this Sunday when PSG visit Reims. The match will be shown on the channel of Ibai Llanos, a Spanish streamer and esports commentator.
Telecinco, a famous Spanish TV station will also broadcast the game after obtaining rights alongside Kosmos Holding and you can be sure that every Barcelona fan will be eager to see their departed hero step out for his new club.
Messi is yet to feature for PSG since joining for free after the unexpected La Liga drama that saw him exit Barcelona after 17 years but with two weeks of training, he is expected to be fit and ready to play for Mauricio Pochetino’s side.
Movistar previously held the rights to French football in Spain in a deal worth "less than €2.5 million" annually, according to sources, but turned down the chance to renew them this season before Messi's move to France.
