Laporta hints at Griezmann departure

Barcelona President Juan Laporta has dropped hints that Frenchman Antoine Griezmann could yet leave the club this summer as they try to free up wage bill and bring in fresh faces.

Barcelona were close to agreeing a deal with Atletico involving Griezmann and Saul Niguez but the deal broke down after the two clubs couldn’t marry the discrepancies in the two players’ wages. The destination of Griezmann can’t be said for now but he is very much likely to move this summer.

The financial situation at Barcelona is getting out of hand and their excitement over a new contract for Lionel Messi may be held back by the fact that they still can’t register him yet despite agreeing to a 50% pay cut.

Barcelona need to move players on, Antoine Griezmann and Samuel Umtiti are two players the club wants to make sure don’t start the new season at Nou Camp but with no one coming for either player after the Saul-Griezmann deal collapsed, the club will need financial experts to stay in business.

 

United announce Sancho

Manchester United have completed the signing of former Manchester City youngster Jadon Sancho as he joins on a permanent basis from Borussia Dortmund for fees in the region of 78m Pounds.

The age long transfer saga has finally come to an end as United spent the entirety of the last two windows chasing the player but they have him now and can begin to plan with him for the new season; what this means for players like Daniel James and Mason Greenwood is left to be seen.

 

Son of the soil?

Heung Min Son has extended his contract at Tottenham Hotspur by another four years, ending speculations that he could move away sometime soon.

With Harry Kane hoping for a move away, Spurs needed to make some solid statement and they have convinced one of their highest performers to stay, a development that might play a part in Kane’s decision making.

Son lit up the league last season with a partnership with Kane, will this make the England captain stay?
