Arssenal’s Xhaka off to Roma

The bitter sweet relationship between Arsenal and Granit Xhaka is about to come to an end after news broke out that the Swiss International has accepted an offer from Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma.

The Portuguese manager agreed a three year deal with the capital side just before the end of the season and would resume work after his present holiday, he has always been an admirer of Xhaka’s style and the most criticized player in North London will finally break free from Arsenal fans… for cheap albeit.

Should Phillippe Coutinho have ever left Liverpool? Honestly no, there are certain pegs that are perfectly suited for certain holes but the champions league trophy he wanted and competitiveness was eventually achieved by the team he left…

That ship has sailed and his expensive wages meant he can only be considered on loan by even the biggest of sides but if you consider Olympic Marseille as one of those then he might very well be on his way to the Stade Velodrome with the French side asking Barcelona about him… What a story!

 

Postecoglou signs for Celtic?

After a very underwhelming season and series of managerial changes, Celtic have finally settled for former Australia boss, Ange Postecoglou.

"The opportunity that has been given to me is one of the greatest honors in football and the responsibility to lead our magnificent football club into the future is one that I will cherish dearly," he said.

He joins on a twelve months rolling deal that could be extended after a successful season at Yokohama F Marinos in the Japanese league… Interesting!

 

Gundogan considers Barcelona move

After the embarrassment of Gini Wijnaldum’s snub, Barcelona are now considering Manchester City’s midfield maestro Ilkay Gundogan who set the premier league ablaze last season.

The only way they can make up for the loss of Wijnaldum to PSG after initial agreement were done is to have a big name replacement and sources claim the German international will decide after the Euros if he wants to stay or seek fresh challenge with the Catalan giants.

 

Juventus offers Arsenal Ramsey for Bellerin

ESPN is confident about this one but we’ll wait, Juventus are said to be interested in Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin and they want to offer Aaron Ramsey to the Gunners.

Ramsey left Arsenal at the end of 2019 to join the then Italian champions but injuries have blighted his career in Turin, would he be interested in such move?

Bellerin won’t mind as he seemed to have bolted out of the Arsenal mood and Juventus are interested, but it has a lot to be considered before being done.
