|Lazio have announced former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri as their new manager|
Lazio have announced the appointment of Maurizio Sarri as their new manager.
Sarri has been out of work since being fired by Juventus in August, despite leading the Turin side to the Serie A title in his only season in charge.
He takes over from Simone Inzaghi, who won three trophies in five years with Lazio before joining Inter Milan.
Lazio posted a cigarette emoji on Twitter to tease the announcement.

Sarri, 62, is well-known for smoking on the sidelines during games.
He began his coaching career as a banker before moving on to manage low-level Italian clubs for the first decade of his career.
In the early 2000s, he left his day job to pursue a career in management, but he did not make it to Serie A until 2013-2014 when he led Empoli to the top flight at the age of 55.
Since then, he has been in charge of European top sides like Napoli, Chelsea, and Juventus, each for one season.
