Chelsea 'open Erling Haaland talks' with Borussia Dortmund as Tammy Abraham could be offered with cash in deal
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea have started talks about signing Borussia Dortmund attacker Erling Braut Haaland, despite the fact that they know it will be difficult.
Haaland, 20, is under contract with Dortmund until 2024, but he has a €75 million (£66 million) release clause that kicks in in the summer of 2022.
Since joining Dortmund for £17 million from Red Bull Salzburg at the end of 2019, the Norway international has evolved into one of the world's most prolific forwards, scoring 41 goals in 41 games in all competitions.
Dortmund have declared that they do not desire to sell their prized centre forward this summer, but Haaland is open to taking the next step in his career, according to the report.
According to the Mail, Chelsea have players who might be offered in negotiations, including Tammy Abraham, who is valued at £40 million and whose name has been mentioned in preliminary discussions.
