Germany revived their Euro 2020 campaign with a bang as they provided an excellent attacking display to thump Portugal and blew Group F wide open.

Following Germany's victory, both Germany and Portugal are currently on three points, one point behind group leaders France, as they prepare for a crucial final round of matches on Wednesday.

Atalanta wing-back Robin Gosens was in fine form as he provided an assist and scored a goal, garnering a standing ovation from the Allianz Arena fans as he was substituted shortly after the hour mark.

Cristiano Ronaldo had put the visitors ahead with his third goal of the tournament and 12th European Championship strike of all time, continuing his record-breaking campaign.

However, two own goals in the five minutes in the first half transformed an interesting match in Germany's favour, as Ruben Dias and Raphael Guerreiro both scored into their own net.

After the half, the influential Gosens set up a third with an inviting ball that Kai Havertz was able to tap in from close range before heading in Germany's fourth.

Ronaldo's cutback was poked in by Diogo Jota, but the defending champions were unable to stage a comeback.

Germany will face Hungary, who drew with France earlier in the day, while Portugal takes on the world champions in the last game, with all four teams still in contention.
