Ronaldo's mother promises to bring him back to Sporting Lisbon next season

Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother, Dolores Aveiro has dropped a sensational hint that her son will be playing for Sporting Lisbon next year.

There’s so much speculation about the future of the 36-year-old following a very humbling season for Juventus which saw them lose their Serie A title to Inter Milan and are even in danger of missing out on champions league football altogether.

Ronaldo helped himself to the 100th Serie A goals in the 3-1 win over Sassuolo and in record time too.

But Juventus aren’t having a good season and their talisman might just leave.

In sharp contrast to Juventus’ season, Sporting Lisbon clinched the Portuguese League title after beating Boavista 2-0 on Tuesday, their first title since 2002 as they have been outsiders to Porto and Benfica for 19 years.

Ronaldo’s mom assured fans during the title celebrations that she will try her best to bring the golden boy back to the capital, where he started from and reunite him with his boyhood club.

"I'll talk to him [Cristiano] to bring him back," Aveiro said from her balcony as she spoke to Sporting fans that had taken to the streets to celebrate.

"Next year he will play in Alvalade [Sporting's stadium]."

Ronaldo has just one year left on his Juventus contract and talks of him moving away this summer has been discussed in several outlets; should he depart the Serie A club, a return to Manchester United, PSG and of course Lisbon is a huge possibility.
