Some certain things seem cast in stone until the unforeseen drama happens, one of them is the tale of Juventus and PSG in their respective leagues.

Whatever it was that happened to AC Milan in the Serie A has to be studied and dealt with ahead of next season, the Rossoneri were on top of the league with decent margins until Inter Milan Usurped them and then at some points, they looked like they would drop out of European qualification places altogether.

The rise of Napoli, as inconsistent as they can be and the form of Atalanta over time mean Juventus must do more than they have done of late to stand a chance but the 3-0 loss at their famous Turin Stadium on Sunday is a threat to European football.

Fans of Juventus all over the world would feel a lot like receiving debit alerts for transactions they didn’t make as goals rained into their net on a night they needed to consolidate their place in the top four.

With Inter Milan already wrapping up the title in spectacular fashion, the next prize on offer is champions league football and as it stands, the Old Lady of Turin will miss out and it might even get worse with Lazio breathing down their necks in 6th place.

Lazio has a game in hand, they will be just one point behind Juventus, if they win that, heaping more pressure on Andrea Pirlo and the big stars in the squad.

There are so many talks in the news about a possible return of Maximiliano Allegri but he might return to coach Juventus in the Europa League.

For PSG, the time is running out, Mauricio Pochetino was hired to make things better after the slight regression earlier in the season.

Interestingly Thomas Tuchel that was fired is leading Chelsea to the champions League final in Ataturk and Lille is about to beat PSG to the title in France.

Variety is great for the neutrals, monopoly of the league can be boring but PSG struggling to grind out results is a shame to the billions of the Qatari owners.

Since crashing out of Europe in the hands of Manchester City, PSG’s attention was going to be drawn to their league assignments but were held to a 1-1 draw by Rennes on a night they needed a win to keep up with Lille and the chasing pack.

Interestingly, the present dynamics in the Ligue 1 is so tricky that PSG might even miss out on Champions League football altogether.

They sit three points off the top which means Lille only need four points from the remaining two games to land the title, Lyon in fourth could leapfrog PSG if the capital club slip up.

Monaco is in red hot form and a win over Rennes and Lens in their final two and a draw anywhere for PSG between their games against Brest and Reims will see them drop down, Lyon are first away to Nimes before hosting Nice on the final day.

It’s delicately poised in French Ligue 1.
