Inter Milan win first Serie A title in 11 years to end Juventus run of nine consecutive league win
Inter Milan have won their first scudetto in 11 years after second-placed Atalanta drew with Sassuolo on Sunday.
Antonio Conte's side are 13 points clear at the summit after Saturday's away victory over Crotone with four matches to go.
The Milan giants were runners up last season with just one point behind Juventus, but former Juventus boss Conte has masterminded the end of Juve's run of nine consecutive league titles in his second season at Inter.
The last time Inter won the scudetto was in 2010, when they won both the Champions League and League title under Jose Mourinho.
This is a great achievement for Antonio Conte, who has now won four Serie A titles, after leading Juventus when they won three straight titles between 2011-2014.
The Italian manager also won the Premier League in his first season as Chelsea manager in 2017.
"This is one of the most important successes of my career," the 51-year-old told Italian television station Rai.
"Deciding to join Inter was not easy, just when the team was not equipped to win immediately.
"Furthermore, the opponent was Juventus for whom I had worked for a long time, who had dominated for nine years. Today we can say that our sacrifices have paid off."
But Conte would not be drawn on his future, with his contract set to expire in 12 months' time.
"At the end of the season we will make the appropriate evaluation," he said.
"We have done something extraordinary and I want to enjoy this moment.
