Referee Mike Dean has asked to not be involved in any Premier League games this weekend after he was targeted with online death threats alongside members of his family.
While neutrals can ask why most red cards issued by either Lee Mason or Mike Dean end up being rescinded, threats of any nature should never be entertained in football or anywhere else.
Dean and his family received the abuse after he handed a controversial red card to West Ham’s during the 0-0 draw with Scott Parker’s Fulham on Saturday.
However, Dean decided to send him off for violent conduct.
"I am glad my red card against Fulham has been overturned," Soucek Posted on Twitter.
