Former Manchester United star and caretaker manager, Ryan Giggs will not be in the dugout when Wales play USA in a friendly and the subsequent UEFA Nations League games against Ireland and Finland.
On the ground of assault on a woman that was identified as Ryan’s girlfriend, the Wales manager has been advised to step down as a mark of respect to the national team and the good people of Wales.
Ryan Giggs was arrested on Sunday and charged with assault following a “huge” disturbance in his Worsley home and eye witness accounts to the Manchester Police maintained that the noise was so disturbing that they feared for the woman’s life.
Giggs however denied all allegations and will now appear in court on a latter day. Robert Page, Ryan’s first assistant will now be in charge for the upcoming games with Giggs supporting from distance, it was a mutually agreed decision and Giggs is said to be cooperating with police officials.
Ryan Giggs has a rich history with women following allegations of infidelity in his marriage and one that involved a close relative; the 46year old was due to announce his squad for the upcoming international games but the appearance has been cancelled following the incident on Sunday.
The Wales squad will now be announced on Sunday with Tottenham loanee, Gareth Bale expected to lead the line having recovered from injury.
Ryan Giggs has since been granted bail as investigation continues.
