Arsenal haven’t won at Old Trafford in only God knows when, and on the account of recent performances, that doesn’t look like changing.

Manchester United had Edouard Mendy to rue in their goalless draw against Chelsea last weekend and by all standards were the better side as they walked off the pitch with a point that could have been three had another personality had been in goal for the Blues.

In midweek, Manchester United hit five past RB Leipzig, a team touted to give United a torrid night but even with a much-changed side, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s side was firmly in charge and when the duo of Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes came on, it was too much for the Germans to handle.

Arsenal are extremely unpredictable and underwhelming in most cases, how they dominated for the entirety of the 1-0 loss at home to Leicester beats many, from their games in the league till date, they are yet to convince in all honesty except the opener against Fulham which can’t be a real measure of quality.

Aubameyang and Pepe

In the loss to Leicester, Arsenal were creating brilliantly until the duo of David Luiz and Bukayo Saka limped off injured, Saka is a forward so it’s understandable, but how do you explain David Luiz as your only source of chances creation?

Arsenal did beat Dundalk in Europe on Thursday and did with more of fringe players, with the fluid 4-3-3 which was deployed against Leicester but with different approach; Arsenal’s midfield trio weren’t allowed to launch forward which ruins the essence of the formation.

On Sunday, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer will have the opportunity of heaping more misery on Mikel Arteta with his firing United side, although the Red Devils have their challenges, but they have managed to turn the corner and a win here will no doubt silence critics of the United manager.
