Mahrez and Sterling celebrate Man City goal against Chelsea in 2-1 Premier League victory

Manchester City came from behind to beat Chelsea as the Champions avoid back-back defeat in the Premier League.

Ngolo Kante slipped the ball past Ederson to give the visitor's the lead after a fine long pass from Marco Kovacic.

The hosts fought back and levelled when Kurt Zouma deflected Kevin de Brune's shot and deceived goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Riyad Mahrez made it 2-0 with a fine run to beat Emerson and Kovacic before finding the back of the net with a clinical finish.

The first half was very open and both sides could have increased the tally with Aguero going closest with a shot that hit the crossbar after a mistake by Kepa.

This victory means City go into third place ahead of Chelsea and are nine points behind Premier League leaders.
