UEFA Super Cup: Liverpool beat Chelsea on penalties (Match Highlights)

Liverpool players lift 2019 UEFA Super Cup trophy after beating Chelsea on penalties

Liverpool won the UEFA Super Cup after beating Chelsea 5-4 on penalties, the match ended 2-2 at full time.

New goalkeeper Adrian was the hero for Jurgen Klopp's side as he saved Tammy Abraham's penalty kick to guarantee victory for Liverpool.

The Champions League winners have now won the Super Cup four times in their history.

Olivier Giroud scored Chelsea's first goal in the first half before Sadio Mane leveled the scores in the second half which took the game to extra time.

The Senegalese captain scored his second of the night to give Liverpool the lead but Jorginho's scored from the spot to take the match to penalties.

Liverpool were victorious after penalties s both teams were impressive from the spot scoring nine of the ten penalties of the night, Tammy Abraham tameless shoot to the middle for Adrian to save with his leg and gave Klopp his first trophy of the season and a second silverware as Liverpool's manager.
