Real Madrid or Barcelona? Neymar's PSG exit talk 'more advanced' confirms Leonardo
Brazil star Neymar will not feature in Paris St-Germain's first Ligue 1 match of the season against Nimes on Sunday as reports suggest that the former Barcelona attacker is set to leave the French champions.
PSG's sporting director, Leonardo, said that talks concerning Neymar's exit were "more advanced than before" but the club are not willing to approve the transfer.
Neymar moved to PSG in 2017 in a deal that made him the most expensive player after PSG owners, Qatar sports investments, paid his £200m buyout clause to Neymar himself so he could buy himself out of his Barcelona contract.
Rumours are linking him to a move back to Barcelona or rivals Real Madrid.
Neymar has struggled with injury during his time his France and he has struggled to have the influence he used to have on world football when he was a Barcelona player.
The Brazil star would hope to reignite his career with a move to either of the two Spanish giants.
