Mikel Obi struggled to impose himself vs Croatia as he was played out of position
Super Eagles legend Austin Jay Jay Okocha spoke about the loss to Croatia on Saturday Night.

The former Nigeria captain who is a pundit on Super Sport TV during this tournament was not happy with the team selection.

"We didn't have a creative midfield player today, Mikel has been a great servant but I think his best position is sitting in front of the back four, we saw him at Chelsea, he had a wonderful career at Chelsea playing in that position.

"In our National team I think at the moment, the most creative player we have is Iwobi, playing him at the right-hand side in the National team, we are taking his strength away from him. He can play there in Arsenal because of the way they play because Ozil is a creative midfield player", Okocha said.

"The only reason why we lost this game is that we played our players in their wrong position, we didn't get the best out of them", the former Super Eagles captain concluded.
