Liverpool fans were wrong to blame Lovren for Everton draw, Mane's selfishness cost them the match (Video + tweet)
Liverpool played a 1-1 draw at home against their rivals earlier today, Salah scored a brilliant curler golazo to give the home team the lead but Rooney equalized for Everton from the penalty spot.
The home team could have made it 2-0 just before half-time as Mane was free on goal, the Senegalese forward dragged his shot wide but that was the wrong decision as he could have passed to his teammates, three of them were wide open to finish.
Lovren, as usual, is the scape goat for the point dropped after the referee pointed to the penalty spot for a soft push on Calvert-Lewin. Liverpool fans took to Twitter to troll the defender, wondering why Klopp kept faith with him.
Get back in the dressing Lovren 100% pen.— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) December 10, 2017
Jurgen Klopp claims Calvert-Lewin "makes step in front of Dejan Lovren but he doesn't push him, just contact" Asks who thought it was a pen. Most in the press room put their hands up.— Andy Hunter (@AHunterGuardian) December 10, 2017

3️⃣ Dejan Lovren Defensive Error pic.twitter.com/NoCUTmjm9B
Dejan Lovren blames himself for the goal. I said 'Well it was your fault Dejan, you shouldn't have given the penalty away.'— Boring James Milner (@BoringMilner) December 10, 2017
Everyone blaming Lovren seems to forget that Sadio Mané could’ve put us 2-0 up but decided to shoot instead.— LFC Transfer Room (@LFCTransferRoom) December 10, 2017
Lovren has lost the plot. Being dragged away by Henderson and Milner after approaching the ref. The defender only has himself to blame. #LFC— James Pearce (@JamesPearceEcho) December 10, 2017
I presume Lovren is still protesting about the penalty so he can go into the dressing room all moody, continuing the act, rather than with the red-faced embarrassment he should have— Sam Tighe 🎅🏻🎄 (@stighefootball) December 10, 2017

Klopp deserved that for his blind faith in Lovren. Every single football fan in the world can see that he's not good enough, apart from Klopp.— LFC News (@LFCTransferNRS) December 10, 2017

Lovren costs us points with an error➡️ Klopp drops him for a couple of games➡️ Klopp brings him back into team➡️ Lovren doesnt cost us a goal for 4/5 games ➡️ Media+Lovren himself claim he's in the best form of his life ➡️ Lovren costs us points
I honestly can’t see what Lovren can do to avoid that. People are happy to blast him because of his past errors. If someone runs into you and falls over, there’s not much you can do.— Ben D'Arcy (@ben_darcy) December 10, 2017
