Nigeria, Argentina
Nigerians are excited at the prospects of the Super Eagles as the National team came back from 2 goals down to beat Argentina 4-2 in an international friendly which was played in Russia.
Iheanacho pulled one back before half time with a brilliant freekick for Gernot Rohr's men after going down 2-0 to a Banega's freekick and a Kun Aguero's tap in. Arsenal's Alex Iwobi scored a brace while debutant Brian Idowu was on the scoresheet to give the Eagles the victory.
Despite not playing without Messi, Argentina had most of their star players in the starting lineup. This is a great feat no matter how you look at it; Argentina's coach, Sampaoli is seen as a master tactician and the Nigerian players were able to pick out holes in his setup. A great victory for Gernot Rohr, all praise should go to him for setting up his team well and taking a risk with the 3-5-2 formation.
Nigerian fans are one of the best fans in the World and they have been reacting to this shocking victory on social media.

It’s just a friendly. But Argentina without Messi isn’t better than Nigeria. And Argentina without Messi would’ve finished behind Nigeria in World Cup 2014 group stages. Nothing’s changed in 4 years.— Fiaz Hamzath (@fiazhamzath) November 14, 2017

Algeria on Friday was solid already. But today is kind of historical coming back like this from a 0-2 vs Argentina. Considering the fact that we played like that system for the 1st time makes it even greater!! Up up Supereagles, up up Nigeria π³π¬π— Leon Balogun (@LeonBalogun) November 14, 2017

Iheanacho's free kick against Argentina is probably the first I've seen scored by the super eagles since Okocha's own against Cameroon.— Izuzu Chinwekele (@chinwekzy) November 14, 2017
