Nigeria have the youngest squad of qualified teams in World Cup 2018

Super Eagles are the youngest team going to World Cup 2018

According to a report by CIES Football Observatory, the Super Eagles of Nigeria fielded the youngest team during the qualifying matches for the 2018 World Cup with an average age of 24.9, the defending Champions Germany and England came close as second and third with an average age of 25.7 and 25.9.

Nigeria were the first African country to qualify for the World Cup and this data shows that the future of Nigerian football is in good hands if well managed.

We did our own calculation using the ages of the 14 regular players during the qualifiers and recent friendlies;

William Troost-Ekong - 24
Leon Balogun- 29
Elderson Echiejile- 29
Shehu Abdullah- 24
Wilfred Ndidi- 20
Obi Mikel- 30
Ogenyi Onazi - 24
Victor Moses - 26
Moses simon - 22
Alex Iwobi- 21
Kelechi Iheanacho - 21
Odion Ighalo - 28
